Court Grants Final Approval of Class Action Settlement

Warren County Supreme Court justice Martin D. Auffredou granted final approval of a class action settlement totaling $1.2 million between Sagbolt, LLC and a certified class consisting of wait staff who worked events at the Sagamore Resort. The settlement comes after nearly five-years of litigation. At the final approval hearing, Judge Auffredou offered praise for the attorneys involved in the matter, stating “[e]ach and every time I’ve read anything that any of you have produced I’ve marveled at it. You have served your clients very well here, and all of you have much to be proud of. It’s indeed my great honor to be able to work with attorneys of such high caliber, so I thank you for your service.”
